RENOVATION OF MANAK BHAWAN BUILDING OF HEADQUARTERS OF BUREAU OF INDIAN STANDARDS SITUATED AT ITO, DELHI
The scope of work comprised of Civil and Electrical renovation of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor of Manak Bhawan (Old heritage Building) of Headquarters of Bureau of Indian Standards situated at Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, ITO, Delhi. The work comprised restructuring of existing layout to suit the new layout as per architectural drawing as per new requirement of the client department. The civil work included the replacement of existing false ceiling work, flooring work, glass partitioning work, gypsum partitioning work, wood work, acoustic work and other miscellaneous civil work. The electrical work involved rewiring of all electrical points including the light points, fan points and power points and creation of new data and UPS points as per the new layouts to match with the new modular furniture, alterations in existing air conditioning system, reinstallation of fire alarm and fire fighting system and lighting fixtures as per the revised layout. The most challenging and tough task was to carry out the work in and operational building without causing disturbance to the working of top most officials of BIS and their multinational conferences.
